https://medium.com/creators I haven't had much motivation for posting lately (as you may be able to tell), partly just because motivation comes and goes whenever it feels like it, and partly because I'm thinking about this. I know I want to have a blog. I don't know how much I want people to read the blog. Did I start this to just be a dumping place for my thoughts about Vocaloid? Or did I want people to read it? Do people want to read it? Do I even want it to be about Vocaloid any more? What is there more to write about Vocaloid that I want to write? Then what should it be about? Am I dropping sentences into the void? I have a lot of questions and significantly fewer answers. I don't know what to do. I won't be posting here until I figure out at least a few answers.

Blog Housekeeping

I won’t have a regular post this week, because I’ll be reorganizing my labels. These are the new labels. They should also give you an idea of where my blog is going in the future. Instead of worrying overmuch about what I’m writing about, I’ll just write what I want to write. -Vocaloid (for general Vocaloid stuff) -Vocaloid Descriptions (the Vocaloid Descriptions now have only that label, not Vocaloid as well) -Writing (little things I’ve written that don’t go in any other category. A previously published example would be It: An Idea I Came Up With ) -Recommendations (I already have this, I’m keeping it because I’ll be doing a lot more of these… prepare yourselves) -Meta-Post (You don’t seriously think I would delete this, right?) -Music (Already exists, it’s for a post that’s music-related but not Vocaloid-related) -Art (Replacing Dragons) -Old (For old posts that need to be revised) -Revised (For old posts that I’ve somehow gotten around to revising) -Revision (For...

I'm back!

Whew.      I have started public school. Some things are fine (my math class snark group, my spanish class, my biology class, lunch) and some things are less fine (my math teacher, the stifling amount of homework, the school bathrooms, oh my MORALITY the school bathrooms, I would rather go to a rest stop bathroom, that's how bad they are, the school water fountains, the halls, lack of sleep). I think it's good that I took that break. I have a lot more ideas for posts, and some already written. Let's do this.

School and other things

I have started the school year. I started it a week ago. I am very busy. I am struggling to manage my time. This is my first experience of public school after first a small private school and then homeschool. I am still adjusting. Loud. Much people. Rigid schedule, but still less rigid than the chairs. A stifling amount of homework. Why do people subject kids to this? Well, I suppose that "life is  pain, princess"...      I am also trying to figure out where I will take my blog. Will I try to find more topics related to Vocaloid (like that post on Cross-Synthesis that I've been silently procrastinating about for months)? Will I share more random writings like it ? Will I share more recommendations? Will I share about music things I'm doing? What kind of audience do I want to attract? Will I even continue the blog? I know I originally created it to find other Vocaloid fans, but so far I have had no success at all. I should probably give it more ti...

Yep. Another Meta-Note.

You may be wondering what the Introduction (Please Read!)  thing that went up on Tuesday on the sidebar was all about. Well, it was because I was poking around in my Blog settings and noticed that there was this thing called a "page," and I didn't have any pages yet. I was a bit confused at first, but I eventually figured out that they were basically the equivalent of un-dated posts that didn't get buried under all the other ones. I thought that would be a great place for my Introduction to Vocaloid. So, instead of actual content on this Saturday post, I have that instead: a new-and-improved Introduction.       (You wouldn't believe how tempted I was to put the Vocaloid cover of Never Gonna Give You Up as one of the examples)      *coughs* I would also like to take this opportunity to thank my viewers, who used to not exist. While I was poking around in the blog settings, I also found this:      That kinda surprised me. I didn'...

I'm Tired

I was writing an Analysis of Vocaloid Popularity post, but several factors prevented me from posting it today. These factors included but were not limited to: procrastination, Drivers Ed, and books. As a result, I'll post it on Saturday, along with the regular Saturday post.      Writing a blog in summer is surprisingly difficult. Heck, just writing a blog in general is hard. But I am determined to not give up.

Eheh.

Oops... I may have skipped the last four-or-so blog posts. But I can explain! See, I was very busy doing not-school. I made most of a new desk with my dad, went to Florida, got rear-ended (right before we were supposed to leave for Florida, in the same vehicle we were going to use- that was inconvenient, to say the least), upholstered kitchen chairs with duct tape, drew lots and lots of dragons, found some more good music, weeded our back garden for fun (it's surprisingly relaxing), went to an aquarium, petted rays and sharks at said aquarium, and in general did other spring break stuff. It was fun, and as a bonus, I have more post ideas... *trails off, muttering and pacing around the house*      And now that I've finished this explanation/apology/excuse note, back to your regularly scheduled blog. Oh, and listen to TechniKen and Voice V4 's music, please and thank you- that's the music I found during spring break. I'm going to schedule this to post ...

Meta-Notes Eternal

The Meta-Notes shall never end! Muahahahaha! No, in all seriousness, I need these to inform you readers what I'll be doing with the blog, and I'm putting them in separate posts instead of mashing them into others because I like to be organized and it's easier to look them up that way.      You may have guessed already that, since I have posted a Meta-Note, I have something to talk about. I do, in fact, as the alternative would be to leave the rest of this post blank. That really wouldn't be interesting, would it?      The first item on my list is the Vocaloid Descriptions. I already have a Google Doc named Vocaloid Descriptions in which I have copy-pasted the format for a description eighty-something times (there are 85 Vocaloids in total, but I've lumped some of them together) and now I'm filling in the information. Some of them are finished, most of them are not, but basically I'll be finishing up one of the descriptions, then pastin...

Ooone more Meta-note

This is the last one, I promise.      Wait, did I say that last time..? Oh well, I guess I'm just like the orchestra conductor in rehearsal who says that we're going to practice this part of the piece 'one more time' and then we'll move on... I literally don't believe my conductor any more when she says that. But anyway.      To the people who follow my blog, few as you are: I very much appreciate you. Thank you for reading. However, I do have a favor for you. As you may recall from the introduction, one of the original reasons I started this blog was to find other Vocaloid fans, or make them Vocaloid fans. So, maybe once my blog has a bit more content, maybe recommend this blog to people you think might be interested? Or maybe people who might like it for other reasons? I don't know. I guess I could use a few more views...      On other news, I would like to clarify that my blog updates every Friday and Saturday aftern...

Still Figuring Out This "Blog" Thing...

I do have a few things to say. Nope, haven't gotten to the actual content yet, sorry. Oh well.      However, speaking of content, you may have been wondering what these things I've been talking about, Vocaloids, actually are. I'll save the official introduction for later, but for now, the title of this blog should suffice.      Ah, yes, the title. I know that "Singing Computers" is still going to be a part of it, but it doesn't sound right to me all on its own. It had to be "Singing Computers and (something)." For now I just have "Randomness," but it might go through a few changes, as I'm still not very happy with that. It doesn't sound right  for some reason...      I will also be adding labels to my content. So far my only one is "Meta-Post," which has labeled all my posts so far, but I will also be adding ones in the future such as "Vocaloids," "Beat Saber," "Minecraft," "Gener...

Why Hello There

I have finally gotten around to creating a blog. Yay for me!      Wait, why? And what is it about?      I'll answer both those questions at once. I have been a fan of Vocaloids ever since... Oh, a few weeks into this current school year. I love learning all I can about all the different aspects of it, and have learned quite a lot so far. I probably got that particular "obsessive" trait from my dad, probably  meaning almost definitely . However, I don't have anyone to talk to about this. I have tons of information to share, and no one to share it with.      For a while, I had a solution for this, albeit a temporary one. I wrote all the things I could think of about Vocaloids in a Google Document, named, straightforwardly, Vocaloids. At time of writing it is 31 pages long. But it was hard to share with other people, and I couldn't use it to find other fans. As a result, I still didn't have anyone to talk to. I cou...
